Climate Analysis and Strategy Selection

Design Performance Objective

Seven Frames of Reference

Exploring humor as a healing art

Student: Kylie Gaines

Software/Tools:

none

Analysis of the climate of the city where a project to be built, and recommendation of passive and low-energy heating and cooling systems.

Investigative Strategy

Generate a 12 months vs. 24 hours XY plot showing the too hot, comfort, and too cold conditions around the year which helps in determining the period of each season.

Generate psychrometric plots for each season along with the wind rose (or for a selected period).

List the passive and low-energy systems recommended for each season.

Find the schematic sizing for applying the passive and low-energy heating and cooling systems (presented on the sheets here is the schematic sizing for passive solar heating systems (Direct gain-Trombe wall- Sun space)
